Support for Ukraine

As an organization that supports human rights, we were ready to support the rights of our refugee neighbors in Romania. Since the beginning of the war, we have been in contact with partners in the NGO sector, with local and central authorities, and we have done everything possible to support families in danger.

From the very first day, our interventions were oriented to providing emergency aid, but also to identifying the best medium- and long-term solutions for refugees who expressed their intention to stay in Romania for a longer period. Together with our partners in the NGO sector, along with the local and central authorities, we have made it a strategic priority for the programs of the FDP Association – Protagonists in Education since February 2022.

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the FDP-Protagonists in Education Association was involved in supporting the needs of people from Ukraine who came from the armed conflict zone into Romanian territory, developing a network of 10 transit centers located near the Siret and Suceava border, but also near Isaccea, Giurgiulesti, Oancea border in Galati. At the same time, our team intervened to support people in transit centers in Bucharest wherever it was needed.
