End of project: “Art AcCeSs – From art Therapy to AcCeSs to education”
Project number: 2023-1-RO01-KA210-VET-000167250
FDP Association – Protagonists in Education, together with its partner Art thérapie Accord Emeraude (France), announces the completion of the project Art AcCeSs – From Art Therapy to AcCeSs to Education, implemented between December 4, 2023 – June 3, 2025 and funded by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ programme.
Through this project, the team of professionals from FDP Association – Protagonists in Education underwent training in art therapy, with the aim of passing on this approach to teachers from partner schools. The new method supports the observation, connection, and assistance of children with SEN (Special Educational Needs), in order to offer them a real chance at inclusion and retention in mainstream schools.
🔸 Over the 18 months of implementation, the project had a significant impact on both teaching staff and the families and children involved. The activities carried out included:
- training sessions in co-creative art therapy;
- exchange of experience between specialists from Romania and France;
- development of a methodological framework that can be replicated in other educational contexts.
The central topics addressed included:
- identifying psychological wounds and trauma and facilitating the child’s connection to local support resources;
- strengthening self-esteem and valuing the human potential of each child.
📍 On May 23, 2025, the project’s closing conference took place, hosted by Luminița Kindergarten — an event that brought together education professionals alongside our colleague, @Alina Dumitru (Inclusion Program Coordinator at the Wonder Center). The conference was an opportunity to share the results achieved, the lessons learned, and the resources created, as well as to open new perspectives for the sustainability and expansion of the proposed approach.
🔹 The Art AcCeSs project demonstrated that art, when used as a therapeutic and educational tool, can build real bridges between school, family, and child, contributing to an empathetic and effective learning process for children with SEN.
🤝 We thank everyone involved for the commitment, openness, and dedication with which they contributed to the success of this project!
